Fear-No-More: Mystic Paws - Divine Ignorance Mala

This collection is inspired by Fear-No-More Zoo, the sanctuary founded by Adi Da as a place where animals can live in peace, freedom, and contemplation.

Adi Da taught that the egoless nature of reality, the very truth that spiritual practice invites us to realize, is already naturally apparent to non-humans. Animals do not struggle with the same sense of separation, self-consciousness, and striving that so often weighs on the human mind. They simply are—present, aware, and free. Animals are natural contemplatives. They live fully present in every moment, and when we quietly observe them, they teach us to do the same. These malas serve as a contemplative reminder to approach animals, and all life, with reverence, equanimity, and compassion.

~ About this mala ~

This mala is made with brown striped wood beads, bright blue spacer beads, bright blue thread and a regal silver feline pendant. Two paw print beads accent this mala. When you reach these special beads while doing japa meditation, pause to evoke the mystic qualities of cats, and open yourself to the mystery of the universe.

Adi Da speaks of Divine Ignorance: You do not and cannot know what even a single thing is. Why? Because though you presume familiarity with objects and others, such familiarity is only a product of your presumption of separateness from them. The movement to “name” things and presume familiarity is based in fear of unknowability or loss of control, but names are only superficial and ultimately arbitrary. Your native state of being is not separation, knowledge, or familiarity but the unknowability of simple Existence beyond fear or contraction.
