Bodhi Patra - Leaf of Awakening

This simple mala is made with smooth dark wood, The beads are natural warm and understated. A rustic silver leaf pendant serves as the guru bead.

The Bodhi tree is a fig tree in Bodh Gaya, in northern India. The Buddha sat beneath it and did not rise until he understood the nature of suffering and its end. The tree is called bodhi, meaning awakening, because of what happened in its shade.

A bodhi leaf is a reminder that awakening happened in an ordinary place, under an ordinary tree, to someone sitting still.
