Animals are naturally contemplative, and when we relate to them with openness and respect, they can help us learn to be contemplative ourselves.
This collection is inspired by Fear-No-More Zoo, a sanctuary where animals live in peace, freedom, and contemplation. They are simply allowed to be, and that is precisely what makes them such powerful teachers.
The egoless nature of reality, the very truth that spiritual practice invites us to realize, is already naturally apparent to non-humans. Animals do not struggle with the sense of separation, contraction, and striving that so often weighs on the human mind. Living fully in each moment, they show us what that looks like when we pause long enough to watch them quietly.
These malas are made to carry that teaching with you.
~ About this mala:
This mala is made with creamy pearl beads, multi-colored agate beads and a white hose magnesite pendant.
The pearl beads carry a soft, luminous stillness — a reminder of the quiet, effortless presence animals naturally embody.
The agate beads bring warmth and variation, each one uniquely colored in shades of green, moss, sage, chestnut, terracotta, and deep brown — no two are exactly alike.
The guru bead, a white horse, anchors the mala and evokes the innocence and freedom Adi Da pointed to in the natural world — a life lived without the burden of self-consciousness.
The mala takes its name, Aham Da Asmi, from the first of the five books of The Heart of the Adidam Revelation, which communicate the core of Avatar Adi Da's teaching.
